On May 24, 2017, Jim Wagstaffe was a legal panelist in a presentation on “The State of the First Amendment: Business as Usual or Panic in the Streets.” The program was sponsored by San Francisco State University and took place at Parisoma in San Francisco. Based on his 35 year practicing and teaching First Amendment law, Jim provided insights on the topic and was able to place today’s concerns in a broader historical context. Among his fellow presenters were Robert Capps, Head of Editorial at Wired Magazine and Aaron Williams from the Washington Post.
