On May 19, 2021, WVBR won an appeal before the Ninth Circuit on behalf of dentist and surgeon Dr. Hieu Pham challenging summary judgment on Dr. Pham’s claims that U.C. San Francisco retaliated against him for raising safety concerns about another physician. The Ninth Circuit found that Dr. Pham had provided sufficient evidence of retaliation to require a trial, and reversed the summary judgment against Dr. Pham on those claims.
